About me
Maclain Hardin-Kurza (she/her) is a PhD candidate in Arts Administration and Adjunct Professor at Florida State University (FSU). Her research centers around choral administration practices, nonprofit organizational resilience, and experiential approaches to arts administration curricula. As an active arts consultant and practitioner, Maclain serves as Executive Director of The Tallahassee Community Chorus, one of the largest non-auditioned choral ensembles in the United States with 250 singers each season. In her role with the Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE), Maclain manages the California-based Arts Administrators Pipeline Fellowship program. She holds a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from FSU and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Westminster Choir College.
